在中美貿易摩擦等事件影響下(中國出口美國面臨 25%額外關稅),歐美客戶對供應鏈安全的重視程度日益提升、加快推進供應鏈全球佈局,優質海外產能的優勢凸顯;近年來公司越南基地訂單及產能快速增長,推動公司快速提升美國市場份額和美國大客戶滲透率。
International business boost: Chinese pioneer in foreign production bases
UE was the first Chinese furniture player to venture overseas in 2018, when it invested into the construction of a new production facility in Vietnam. It has established firm foundations over the years in terms of customer resources, production capacity, a localized supply chain, quality personnel and technical processes. The Vietnam base makes sense as it supplies and ships most of its US business vs an additional 25% tariff on Chinese exports to the US due to Sino-US trade frictions. UE stepped up the buildout of its global supply chain as customers in Europe and the US increasingly value supply chain security; and having quality global production capacity undoubtedly sharpens its competitive edge. Its order book and production capacity in Vietnam have grown rapidly, driving up its US market share and penetration of major US customers.

Global capacity buildout: Vietnam pushing phase 3; Romania started shipments
Foreign fulfillments:
orders from European and US customers have entered a new cycle as production continues to shift toward Vietnam and Romania. UE’s three major production bases in these countries and China are working in synergy to fulfill global procurement demand and hone the company’s competitive advantages:
•Vietnam: UE has completed the land purchase process for capacity expansion of the Vietnam facility and factory construction work is advancing as planned.
•Romania: the Romania facility rolled out production and began shipments in 23H1, accelerating growth in its European markets and the vicinity.
ERP linkage:
UE effected a systemic digital restructure with a digital center linking data systems that drive higher operational efficiency. It built an enterprise resource planning system that covers the Vietnam and Romania bases, as well as Chinese and foreign sales subsidiaries. The digital center runs the company’s global business development by enabling real-time and substantially better data sharing between foreign production and the Chinese headquarters, as well as sales subsidiaries and manufacturing departments. The result is better operational efficiency.

Growing foreign customers; successive shipments rolled out to major players
Major partners:
UE makes it a point to participate in global trade shows, make customer site visits and new product recommendations. This has helped drive new acquisitions and conversions of business opportunities. It set up experienced foreign sales teams to promote the company’s comprehensive advantages in R&D, manufacturing and foreign bases. It took on board Costco, Sam’s Club and other major customers and channels. And UE’s growth trajectory strengthens with each set of shipments it rolls out successively to major customers.
