Welcome to the European Symposium on Research in Computer Security (ESORICS) 2018 Web Site. This is the 23rd symposium in the ESORICS series. This year the Symposium will be held in Barcelona, Spain, at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech, on September 3-7 2018. Several co-located workshops will be held in conjunction with the Symposium, on September 3-7 2018.

Computer security is concerned with the protection of information in environments where there is a possibility of intrusion or malicious action. The aim of ESORICS is to further the progress of research in computer security by establishing a European forum for bringing together researchers in this area, by promoting the exchange of ideas with system developers and by encouraging links with researchers in related areas.

Progressively organized in a series of European countries, the symposium is confirmed as the European research event in computer security.

The annual FDSE conference is a premier forum designed for researchers, scientists, and practitioners interested in state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice activities in data, information, knowledge, and security engineering to explore cutting-edge ideas, present and exchange their research results and advanced data-intensive applications, as well as to discuss emerging issues. At the annual FDSE, the researchers, scientists and practitioners are not only able to share research solutions to problems of today’s data and security engineering themes, but also able to identify new issues and directions for future related research and development work.

After the last four successful events, FDSE 2014 and FDSE 2015 (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), FDSE 2016 (Can Tho City, Vietnam), and FDSE 2017 (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), FDSE 2018 will be held from November 28-30, 2018, also in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The conference will be held in the main campus of HCMC University of Technology (HCMUT), which is among the most prestigious universities in Vietnam.
