Job Title: Trade Manager - Northern & Western China and Taiwan
Report Line: Chief Representative, Greater China
Location: Beijing
Understand the Northern & Western China and Taiwan market, and regularly provide market updates and insights to support strategic planning and effective market development;
Establish and maintain constructive cooperation with travel trade partners to strengthen Denmark and Norway’s competitive position in China;
Work in conjunction with travel trade partners in product development and promotion to achieve KPIs (bed nights and expenditure);
Organize destination road shows in China and travel trade FAM tours to Denmark and Norway;
Develop, maintain and enhance a database of travel trade contacts for Northern & Western China and Taiwan through digital platforms;
Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with potential partners;
Provide up-to-date destination information to travel trade partners via workshops and training;
Collect statistics and market intelligence and conduct business reports and analysis;
Maintain and ensure trade website on http://www.beiou.org is an effective content source preferred and fully used by travel trade;
Review and update all relevant content in the travel trade online training platform. Liaise with key accounts and other agents to ensure maximum participation in this training program;
Coordinate brochure content with partners and suppliers. Facilitate brochure and other trade related promotional material distribution to agents across China.
Assist Chief Representative, Greater China in formulating and executing strategic plan in China;
Other tasks assigned by Chief Representative, Greater China.
Bachelor degree or above in marketing, tourism, business administration or a suitable combination of education and work experience;
Demonstrated experience in travel industry or other related fields (minimum five years);
Excellent trade networks in China and relationship building expertise;
Hands on experience in dealing with tour operators, airlines, MICE operators and travel agents;
Sound knowledge or experience in destination and/or consumer marketing;
Strong leadership skills with high level of self-motivation and innovative thinking;
Effective interpersonal skills and good team work spirit;
Able to perform coordination tasks, undertake multiple assignments and adherence to deadlines;
Project management including budget management experience;
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills in Chinese and highly developed English language skills;
Good presentation skills;
Strong working knowledge of MS Office;
Destination knowledge of Nordic countries will be an advantage;
Be able to travel both domestically & internationally;
