Deloitte celebrates end-of-year Thanksgiving Service
Deloitte Ghana concluded 2024 with a heartwarming Thanksgiving Service, at the forecourt of the Deloitte Place.
The event which brought together Partners, employees, and other special guests, marked the culmination of a year filled with hard work, resilience, and remarkable achievements.
The Deloitte Choir made up of staff left attendees engaged with soul-stirring renditions of traditional and contemporary gospel songs and Christmas carols. The melodies created an atmosphere of celebration and spiritual upliftment.
The Country Managing Partner, Daniel Kwadwo Owusu shared an inspiring good will message with excerpts from Psalm 124:6-8.
He reflected on the achievements of Deloitte Ghana and their impactful contributions to Deloitte Africa.
He commended the Deloitte Ghana team for its dedication and exceptional work throughout 2024.
As part of the numerous blessings to the firm, Mr. Owusu also took the time to celebrate George Ankomah (Lead Partner, Tax and Regulatory) for his achievement in joining the Deloitte Africa Board and Dorcas Sekum (Associate Director, Audit) for her new role as a partner of the firm which officially begins in January, 2025. “These promotions are set to be the first among many others in the coming year”, he added.
He concluded with his expectations for the coming year saying, “The year 2025 will be a good year for Deloitte Ghana, we will see a lot of progress. As God blesses us and we see more promotions, we expect everyone to deliver because as the saying goes the reward for hard work is more work”.
Inspiring Sermon
Apostle Chris Abbey, of Living Streams Ministry in his remarks, highlighted the significance of thanksgiving, saying “one of the best ways to keep relationships is to walk in the arena of thanksgiving”.
He shared an inspiring exaltation on the Principles of Thanksgiving from Psalm 107: 1-9.
“We give God thanks for his goodness, redemption, guidance, provision, faithfulness, blessings.”
Future Growth
The service concluded with a vote of thanks by Charlotte Forson Abbey (Partner, Audit) and a closing prayer by Apostle Chris Abbey which left staff with renewed energy and optimism for the year ahead.
The Deloitte Ghana End-of-Year Thanksgiving service was a resounding success. It served as a powerful reminder of the importance of gratitude, unity, and the values that drive the company's continued success.
