LJMU's Freeport and Net Zero Transport Thematic Doctoral Pathways(FTDP) programme is offering six full PhD scholarships (UK/international) to develop two PhD cohorts (first-of-their-kind) who will apply their skills in AI, operational research, engineering, and science to tackle transport/logistics decarbonisation, with a focus on UK freeports. This call is for the second cohort (3 PhD scholarships) and is open to both UK and international candidates.

* Successful candidates to move to Liverpool and enrol by end of February 2025
* Full tuition fees,
* Maintenance stipend + running cover (~ ?20,837 per annum) for three years, rising in line with URKI rates,
* Funded visits to industry and overseas universities to widen your experience and gain career opportunities (averagely 1 month per year),
* Funded training to gain teaching qualifications (Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) and teaching experience for career development.
