The Position
Primary Purpose of Job (Job Summary)
-
Ensure ambitions are defined at either, BU/Franchise, Chapter or Cluster level with a particular focus on short/mid-term (with 5 year) outlook and forecast for the whole P&L and/or CAPEX and HC
-
Resources are allocated to maximize the ambition of Roche Pharma OMNI business, especially drive for resource allocation based on analytical business case formulation, justification and execution.

Drive P&L or costs and HC management optimization to ensure rigorous execution and fast responses to the business needs and adjusted priorities.

Act with an enterprise mindset, provide constructive feedback for team members for their development. You foster resource fluidity, networking and sharing of learnings within and across Chapters, Squads and Clusters.

Lead business/financial planning with E2E perspective for your BU/Franchises, aligned with company guardrails. You provide high quality of business analytics to allow insightful decision-making on sustainable investment, resources prioritization and trade-off, funding for new business opportunities and drive short/mid/ long term strategies of Pharma China.

Resources are allocated to maximize the ambition of Roche Pharma China

Drive flexible or agile forecasting/planning approaches, OKR definition and monitoring, enables analytics combining financial/ market data / benchmarks for responsible Bus/franchise, Clusters or Chapters.

Be an advocate and role model for the new ways of working as well as the desired mindsets, behaviors and culture and play a coach and catalyst role in the teams/squads to deliver the desired outcomes while striving for consistency and efficiency across areas, by encouraging the team to continuously finding opportunities to harmonize, pool and simplify finance processes while sustaining or improving the stakeholder experience

Act as a catalyst for squad teams by removing obstacles and driving collaboration to ensure the delivery of high quality financial outcomes

Play a strong leadership role within the Finance team and build strong partnerships particularly with the business function but also across various chapters, squads and clusters stakeholder groups

Collaborate with other key players at the Roche local and global level, and participate in global networks to ensure requirements for new solutions and enhancements are managed and delivered effectively.

You have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance/Accounting, a major in marketing, business, or science is a plus. Other requirements are:

6-8 years of experience in a senior role in Finance, experience in Pharma industry is highly preferred. Leadership experience can come from either a line management role or a functional non-hierarchical leadership role.

Person has proven to influence decision making at operational level and making an impact.

Proven track record in Finance Partner experiences in a global and local organizations and deep/ broad Finance knowledge with solid stakeholder management skills

Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills and a true entrepreneurial mindset

Manager - Audit Monitoring & Investigation
The Position
Manages high complexity compliance activities for the assigned affiliate in the assigned division. Evaluates existing and evolving healthcare and privacy compliance, ethics and related legislation and regulations and other marketplace/industry dynamics to determine requirements for Roche policies and procedures. Recommends new or updated compliance policies and procedures, including specifying actual or potential implications to existing business operations and practices.
Authors new or updated policies and procedures for internal partner and stakeholder input. Prepares and delivers communication and training materials/sessions to educate others on the evolving compliance landscape and potential new or updated policies and related changes.
Helps others interpret laws and regulations correctly and ensure consistent adherence. Advises Roche global partners on local changes or other evolutions and the affiliate's strategy and plan to address these. As assigned, manages and completes internal and external reporting regarding the affiliate's healthcare, privacy, ethics and related compliance. Responds to complex inquiries and provides guidance and advice on compliance and resources to support business operations, team and individual adherence. Where observed, escalates actual or potential compliance violations or other issues to relevant colleagues or management, according to local, regional and/or global policies and procedures.

Proficient in extracting and analyzing large datasets to strategically identify samples for targeted monitoring.

Strong verbal and written business communication skills: highly adept at synthesizing and summarizing complex and/or voluminous content into clear, concise, and actionable communications.

Effective in identifying, developing, and implementing scalable/sustainable processes and other continuous improvements to achieve organizational efficiencies and increase effectiveness.

Experience in building and cultivating relationships with key partners and stakeholders across organizational levels.

Bachelor’s Degree (finance/accounting, life sciences, law, public policy, marketing, business, or related discipline preferred).

Professional certification preferred (CPA, CIA, CFE, etc.).

Graduate-level Degree preferred (JD, MBA, or related discipline).
-
Healthcare Compliance Certification (before or within 6 months of appointment).
-
Ability to travel (less than 10%).
