PhD position in tropical cyclones modeling at Louisiana State University (USA)
The Climate Extremes and Modeling Group at Louisiana State University (CEMG@LSU) is recruiting one PhD student to improve the modeling of tropical cyclones, with a target start date in January 2025. This is a fully funded research assistant (RA) position with tuition and stipends covered. Focused on extreme weather events, our lab uses statistical methods and dynamical models to understand the effects of climate variability and climate change on extreme events, and the physical processes through which they are linked. Prior research experience in climate data analysis and/or modeling that is demonstrated by publications, thesis projects, research project reports, etc.
