The Possibilities Beyond Anthropocentrism: 

Metamorphosis, Inter-subjectivity and Future Species

本次展览《虚构的贸易：拒绝以物换物的故事复写》的第三章“物的民族志，灵的吟游诗”聚焦于“变形”这一跨越人与他者边界的转换概念。“变形”与不变的体验中，人如何同非人的物与灵进行互动，创造一种主体之间的深刻的情感体验。在本体论式的反思中寻找超越人类中心主义的可能。

The third section of the exhibition “Fic-ticious Trade: Duplicating Stories with-out Bartering,” titled “Ethnography of Materials, Minstrels of Spi-rits,” focuses on the concept of “Metamorphoses”—a form of crossing the boundaries be-tween humans and others. This chapter explores how, in the experience of transformation and constancy, humans interact with nonhuman entities and spirits, creating profound intersubjec-tive emotional experiences. It seeks the potential to transcend anthropocentrism through ontological reflection.

本次对谈特别邀请到了青年艺术家徐子奕，他的作品《化石宴》呈现出一种独特的去人类中心主义的历史象征意味，其对于未来物种眼中的“自然遗迹”的讨论呈现出了一种新的认识“人类故事”的可能性。

For this conversation, young artist Ziyi Xu has been specially invited. His work, “Fossil Feast,” presents a unique, de-anthropocentric historical symbolism, opening up new possibilities for under-standing the human stories by con-templating “natural relics” from the perspective of future species.

For creators, how to present their ideas is the most important thing. What mate-rials and expression ways are both ef-fective and valuable? Today, we have more and more methods and a wide range of materials to work with. To ex-press ourselves accurately and be re-cognizable at the same time, is there any methodology that we can follow? Four guest speakers will discuss the above questions.
