Have you ever wanted to attend a seminar at an American university? Every month at the Beijing American Center, we host an American Classroom—a new series designed to bring you into an American-style seminar right here in Beijing. On one Friday each month, we will discuss a new topic just like we would at a top-tier university in the United States.
Do you know what drives local economies in communities all around the United States? How do agrarian populations advertise and celebrate their traditions and livelihood? State Fairs are important American events that bring communities of residents and visitors together to play, learn, compete, and eat adventurous foods from around the state. The U.S. Ambassador to China, Terry Branstad, was the longest serving governor of Iowa, whose State Fair is renowned across the country. Join Ambassador Branstad at our next American Classroom to hear about his experience at this annual event.
